About Us

The Climate Change and Food Security Association was founded in Adana, Turkey, with a mission to find solutions to the complex and interconnected problems of climate change and food insecurity. Our team of researchers, agronomists, economists and community engagement experts with decades of collective experience is committed to developing and implementing practical solutions that promote sustainable agriculture, improve food security and increase climate resilience in the region.

Main Purpose of the Association;

Advancing sustainable food systems and climate resilience in Adana and the surrounding region through research, innovation and community empowerment.

Long Term Goals ;

Catalyze the adoption of climate-smart agriculture: Promote a widespread transition to resilient agricultural practices that optimize resource use, increase productivity and reduce environmental impacts.
Promote evidence-based policies and practices: Producing and disseminating actionable research to inform decision-making at local, regional and national levels.
Develop a resilient food value chain: Strengthen every link from production to consumption to ensure continued access to nutritious and affordable food, even in the face of climate disruptions.
Empower communities as agents of change: Equip individuals and groups with knowledge, tools and resources to adapt to a changing climate and protect their livelihoods.
Build strategic partnerships: Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, research institutions and private sector organizations to maximize collective impact.

The activities to be carried out by the Association to realize these objectives are as follows: Conducting research and preparing reports on climate change and food safety. Conducting studies and expressing opinions on national and international policies to combat climate change. Conducting training and awareness raising activities on climate change and food safety. The work of the Association will contribute to ensuring food security and combating climate change. The Association also has the following objectives: To develop innovative solutions to combat climate change. To strengthen international cooperation on climate change and food security. To gain public support on climate change and food security. These objectives of the Association will further strengthen efforts to combat climate change and ensure food security.
